As the sunsets I am here solo as I was physically when I crossed the country, but only on occasion. So many times people came out, people honked and greeted me along the way. Injury prevented me from cycling the remainder of the 900 miles to this point in San Diego and then another 1,100 miles to Portland, Oregon. But, I have determined I will finish it in the next 48 months because where there is a will, there is a way. I will learn to be a stronger cyclist and with the help of already committed sports physician Dr. K. I will pick up where I left off and cross the finish line. I will have my wife out here to support me this time, even if it’s a pink polka dotted golf cart with a megaphone.
