I found my favorite spot cycling across the U.S. today when I arrived in Fort Walton Beach, Florida at Florida’s Emerald Coast where the beaches are pure white and where the Gulf of Mexico flows into the Choctawhatchee Bay. Simply put, the meeting of the two waters, the colors and the tides where they move in neither direction was breathtaking.
