If you haven’t heard, tomorrow is my half-way point on this 6,300+ miles journey crossing the United States and it has taken me more than 3-months to reach this point because of injury, struggles and the drive to go every mile. Thanks to Bell Bike Helmets they thought these would be a great half-way surprise. I will be traveling in a headwind until the end and with their new ventilation system I will still be kept cool. Plus, now when people pull up beside me on the road, they will get a better idea of what my journey is all about. I may not be fast, like the athletes that normally wear an aero helmet, but it protects me from the sun rays and the wind a bit more than I would otherwise.
