He was the one who sent a bike across the country so that my knee injury, that prevent me from continuing on foot, would not stop me from riding the rest of the way. Even after 3,100 miles later on the bike I had to stop, he was still there. 2-years later he was still there and today we had a chance to get that ride in we had talked about all this time.
